Alvar Aalto

Alvar Aalto has left his handprints in Kauttua during the years of 1937 - 1944. He designed many buildings in the area and all of them are somehow connected to the paper mill of Ahlstrom.

PorrastaloPorrastalo was designed in year 1938 and it was completed the same year. It is a four storey building made of concrete, and there is one appartment in its every floor.
