Äimäröntie 80

When I was little, at Midsummer, my mother always wanted to go to the woods by herself. When she came back, she always had dog roses and lilies of the valley with her. She never took us kids with her, because she was afraid that we would pull the flowers up by the root. When we grew older, we were allowed to go with her. We always used to search for the flowers together. Every year it was exciting to see if the flowers still grew in the woods, luckily they still were there every year. Later on, I have visited there by myself and every time I have found a rose in the same place. During the last five years, I have not had the energy to go there and check if the roses still grow in the same place. It is a long way there from my summer cottage and the road is in a poor condition. It still is a dear Midsummer memory for me, even though it is only about dog roses and lilies from the valley.

A meaningful place for me is the Lake Vähäjärvi beach in Löyttylä, because I learned how to swim there. It can be an unforgettable place for many people.
